"Zodiac" is the debut single from the upcoming collaborative EP by Saynave and Paulo and the Problems, introducing an innovative genre they've coined City-Hop. This track blends the storytelling and rhythmic power of Hip-Hop with the lush, nostalgic instrumentals of Japanese City Pop, crafting a fresh soundscape that bridges eras and genres.
The project celebrates Japanese culture from the 80s and 90s, with musical arrangements inspired by City Pop icons and visuals that channel the aesthetic of classic anime from the same era. The artwork, a nod to Hiroshi Nagai’s vibrant and dreamy style, underscores the homage to this iconic cultural period.
